What the Results Mean

Last Updated: Apr 20, 2017 01:59PM CDT
The survey shows us how teachers and students perceive their school, and these perceptions influence their behavior. The results are organized using a research validated framework (the Five Essentials). These results are meant to highlight areas of strength and areas that need support. They are a baseline for improvement.

Understanding these perceptions—even if you don't agree with them—helps you predict how students and teachers are going to work together and whether your school will continue to improve. In aggregate, the reports reflect the perspective of teachers and students in grades six through 12. We think of these measures as leading indicators of school success.
